Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2025. Clear, straightforward, and zero-tracking.
The Short Version (Our Core Privacy Guarantee)
All UUIDs generated, validated, decoded, or bulk-exported on this website are processed 100% client-side in your browser using the standard Web Crypto API. We do not store, log, inspect, transmit, or monetize your generated identifiers or input data.
1. Client-Side Processing Architecture
Unlike traditional online tools that process requests on remote backend servers, uuid-generate.com executes all generation algorithms directly within your local web browser:
- Random UUIDs (v4): Generated using your operating system's Cryptographically Secure Pseudorandom Number Generator (CSPRNG) via
window.crypto.getRandomValues(). - Time-based UUIDs (v1, v7): Assembled locally using your system clock and in-memory cryptographic random bits.
- Namespace UUIDs (v3, v5): Computed entirely in browser memory using standard SHA-1 and MD5 hashing implementations.
- Bulk Export & Decoding: Processed in your browser memory and downloaded directly as client-side Blob objects.
Because no data packets containing your UUIDs are sent to our servers, it is architecturally impossible for us or any third party to intercept your generated keys.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
No registration, email addresses, usernames, or passwords required.
We never log or save the UUIDs you create or the inputs you provide for validation.
We do not use advertising networks, cross-site tracking pixels, or data broker integrations.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use tracking cookies. We only use browser localStorage for purely functional preferences:
theme: Stores your visual theme selection ("dark"or"light") so the interface remains consistent across visits.
You can clear your local storage at any time through your browser developer tools or settings without affecting tool functionality.
4. Hosting and Infrastructure
Our static assets and HTML pages are delivered via secure Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and cloud hosting. Like all web servers, standard non-identifiable technical server logs (such as HTTP request headers, IP address, and browser user-agent) may be temporarily processed by infrastructure providers solely for DDoS mitigation, performance optimization, and server uptime monitoring.
5. Children's Privacy
Our service is a general-purpose technical developer utility. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
